BRAZIL RESCUE CAMPUS FUNDRAISING DINNER
Help Keep
Me Safe
Building a haven where safety, hope, and healing meet for children in the Brazilian Amazon.
An Urgent Need
In remote communities located within Brazil’s Amazon region, thousands of children are growing up in environments marked by poverty, instability, and rampant sexual abuse. Geographic isolation and deeply rooted cultural indifference have allowed abuse to go unchallenged, with few paths to safety. For children who do speak up, they are frequently returned to their abuser due to corruption and broken systems.
Child Impact Brazil now travels from school to school teaching children about autonomy, protective behaviors, and the ability to recognize and respond to unsafe situations. So far, team members have equipped more than 7,000 children and adults to recognize abuse and know where to turn for help. When a child quietly tells a teacher, “That happened to me,” Child Impact Brazil’s staff helps families navigate the reporting process and connect survivors with social workers. When necessary, they look for a safe place where the child can be removed from abuse and healing can begin. But often, a secure place cannot be found.
The urgent need for a rescue campus grows.
These children are asking for safety. Will you help us build a haven where they can find it?
