Meals for Children

Many children come to school without eating breakfast. A full stomach helps them to focus on their studies in class. Teachers tell Child Impact how students grow taller than their peers while receiving school meals.

Giving Options:

  • $0.25 per meal
  • $25 for 100 meals
  • $250 for 1,000 meals
  • $2,500 for 10,000 meals

“Bangladesh faces severe food insecurity. With a dense population and frequent natural disasters destroying crops, many children go to school hungry. When I visited one of our sponsored village schools, I asked the teacher how many students had eaten breakfast before class. His answer broke my heart: none. He explained that before Child Impact began providing lunch, children often went through the entire school day without a meal. Some might have dinner at home, but many ate inconsistently. That day, I watched the students receive a heaping plate of rice and curry with an egg. As they ate with their hands, their faces lit up with joy and relief. It was a simple meal, yet it carried hope, nourishment, and the ability to focus on their studies. No child can reach their full potential when every lesson competes with the growl of an empty stomach. A warm meal means more than a full stomach; it means energy to learn, strength to grow, and the chance to dream of a brighter future. Together, we can continue to feed children in need, giving them both the nourishment necessary for today and the foundation for the future they deserve.”
