Kenya requires one textbook for every two students, yet one of our sponsored schools has never been able to meet this standard. Over three years ago, with a large purchase of books, they improved to one textbook for every four students. During the 2025 school year, Child Impact purchased textbooks for the 8th grade class for around $500. The school was so excited for these new books! “When our learners received the textbooks, they gained equal access to essential learning materials,” said Mr. Philemon, their teacher. “We have observed stronger academic performance and greater confidence among our students.
