What does this project aim to achieve?
The Child Impact school for the blind is located in a rural setting in Bobbili Andra Pradesh India. The school is operated by the Adventist church but is fully funded by Child Impact International. The school draws its special needs children mainly from poor rural areas. Most of these children would have no hope of a special education and would be left in their villages doing menial tasks. This school gives them an education and their families hope.
The school has over 130 pupils and is a full boarding school. Child Impact is working with the church to develop trained teachers and assist with the latest technology for sight impaired children.
Support for this school ensures that this unique school and give an education to special needs children who would not normally have hope.
To help you can sponsor a blind child or make a donation to the blind school appeal.
